Keeping tabs on your position in the world’s most popular search engine is a time consuming job. It’s important to keep an eye on where you stand in the rankings relative to that of your competitors for your keyword terms so that you can feedback the results into your site and tweak the onpage and offpage optimisation accordingly.
A free new tool by Cleverstat makes this process easier.
The best thing about this tool is that it supports multiple languages and charactersets, including kanji, which is great if you’re monitoring positions in www.google.co.jp, although it dosent accept true International Domain Names for the URL which means you have to enter the PUNYCODE url instead, but this is a minor point.
It allows you to enter all your websites and their associated keywords and then performs a lookup in google to see where you are ranked for those keywords.
The results are displayed in an easy to read table format and you can add or remove keywords at anytime.
It’s very intuitive and easy to use but limited only to Google search results (another package by the same company offers more engines and features).
